The Novak Rara Neagră 2020 from Comrat in southern Moldova embodies the elegant restraint of one of Moldova's oldest indigenous grape varieties, «the rare black one», ripened to perfection. The 2020 vintage captivates with a refined bouquet of fresh cherries, pomegranate and delicate floral notes, accompanied by a hint of earthy, spicy depth. On the palate, elegant fruit with a soft structure unfolds, carried by silky tannins and a lively freshness through to the long, clear finish. A wine of remarkable finesse, ideal with poultry specialities, refined pasta dishes and robust goat's cheese.
